Why we tore down the old studio site and rebuilt it — new brand system, facet-cut geometry, top-bar navigation, and what's still coming.
We started this rebuild because the old vexorisdev.com didn't reflect how the studio actually works anymore. The projects were real, the stack was real, but the site still read like a template waiting for copy. So we treated it like a client build: honest content, a coherent visual system, and structure that can grow without another full teardown.
The brand side came first. Ink Navy (#151A49) and Signal Teal (#27D1CE) anchor everything, with Poppins across headings and body. The facet-cut language — clipped corners on cards, buttons, and hero blocks — gives the layout a consistent edge without turning into decoration for its own sake. It's the same discipline we bring to platform UI: distinctive, but still readable and fast.
Navigation was the other big shift. The earlier layout leaned on a side rail that ate horizontal space and fought the content on smaller breakpoints. Moving to a top bar at laptop widths simplified the page canvas and made the marketing sections feel like one continuous site again. Dropdown groups replaced a long flat list so Studio, Work, Partners, Resources, and Pricing stay scannable without dumping twenty links into the header.
What's live now is the public marketing layer — projects, services, products, partner pages, and the start of a Resources section. Still on the list: filling out the remaining resource pages, tightening case-study visuals, and eventually the client portal behind auth. This post is the first of the blog; more will follow as we ship pieces worth writing about, not filler to pad a content calendar.
